YPSM Homoeopathic Medical College Students Visit TB Clinic in Alwar
As part of their academic learning and practical exposure, the final year BHMS students from Yuvraj Pratap Singh Memorial (YPSM) Homoeopathic Medical College, Shivaji Park, Alwar, recently visited the TB Clinic in Alwar. This insightful visit aimed to provide students with an understanding of the prevention, control, and treatment of tuberculosis, one of the most significant public health challenges in India.
Under the guidance of District TB Officer, Dr. Kapil Bhardwaj, the students were given a detailed overview of general management, clinical diagnosis, and various preventive and control measures for tuberculosis. Dr. Bhardwaj, along with other staff members of the TB Clinic, shared valuable insights and practical knowledge that enriched the students’ understanding of this critical disease and its management.
Accompanying the students were Dr. Ajit Singh, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, Dr. Pawan Choudhary, and Dr. Nitish Lal, Assistant Professors at YPSM Homoeopathic Medical College. The visit was a part of the academic curriculum for fourth-year BHMS students, aimed at bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world healthcare practices.
The students were highly engaged throughout the visit, gaining firsthand experience in understanding the challenges and importance of tuberculosis management in a clinical setting. This experience will undoubtedly contribute to their professional development as future homoeopathic practitioners.
The faculty and students express their gratitude to the TB Clinic Alwar for the opportunity to observe and learn from the dedicated professionals working in the field of tuberculosis prevention and treatment.
